Leslie Hudson's FALL 2022 US Tour
Darkest Nights & Ghostly Lights
Ghost stories meet dark nights of the soul.
Join Leslie Hudson on tour after a 3-year hiatus for in-person and virtual shows, October 31 to December 10. Moody nights of ghostly tales, songs about magic and survival, and true life stories of climbing out of the deep dark of mental health will shape each performance. Their Darkest Nights & Ghostly Lights Tour will bring the Canadian pianist and singer-songwriter back to beloved venues in the central US, and conventions they haven't played since 2017.
This tour marks Leslie's reunion with tourmates S. J. Tucker and Cathy McManamon (Random Fractions; Toyboat). Performing shared shows since 2017, Leslie and S. J. are musical siblings who never miss an opportunity to make bardic alchemy together. An online preview mini-concert in November will be followed by a full, shared, virtual concert in December.
Leslie and Cathy toured together for the first time in 2019 on the Wise Woman Tour, sharing shows and stages across Central and Midwest USA. Connecting through rhythm, runes and storytelling they'll stream a virtual concert together in November.
Guest musicians for live, in-person shows will play fiddle, djembe, harp, bass, guitar, mandolin, bodhran, and sing harmony vocals. Backing Leslie on stage will be longtime collaborators Amy McNally (The Tooles; The Mad City Jug Band; Wild Mercy; Play It With Moxie), Dr Mary C Crowell (Play It With Moxie; Three Weird Sisters), Jen Midkiff (Wild Mercy; Alair), Brenda Sinclair Sutton (Three Weird Sisters; Alair; Bed and Breakfast; The Tooles), and Bill Sutton (Bed and Breakfast).
Judi Miller, Chambanacon's Toast Mistress and dynamic ASL interpreter, will interpret Leslie's ChamBanaCon concert with drama and flair aplenty.
“I swear I love it more with every listen. Not kidding. Not exaggerating. On repeat.” - S. J. Tucker
