JoCo Cruise Crazy!

Jonathan Coulton, Paul & Storm, Wil Wheaton, John Hodgman, and a whole bunch of geek musicians, gamers, and professional Quitters (people like me who’ve quit their day jobs to chase their dream jobs full-time) – all dubbed Sea Monkeys – will be cruising the Caribbean for a week starting tomorrow.  And I’m going with them!

I’m not normally the kind of person to go on a cruise, particularly somewhere hot, but this one’s different.  It’s a geek music cruise!  How could I resist it?  There will be all sorts of opportunities to see great shows, meet kindred spirits, annoy the Snorks (non-geek cruisers) with excessive joy for the unorthodox, and I’ll sing whenever they’ll let me near a mic.

One of the events is a Fez & Mustache Formal night, and many people spice up their fezes with personal touches.  So I did this.

Miyakazi is one of my favourite writer/directors, and I’m in love with soot sprites.  I even found a soot sprite dress to go with it!

So I’ll be gone for a week, madly writing songs for FAWM whenever I can, and catching up when I get back.  In the meantime, here’s a geeky music project Devin Melanson and I are working on, called Episode:Audio.  Star Wars vignettes from strange and unusual perspectives.  How cool is that?

Happy FAWMing, fellow writers!  And for the rest of you, happy listening!
