“Ask Who I Am” from Keep Left at the Fork
The 13 songs for this album had to follow some very particular guidelines laid out for me by the sídhe (faerie folk of Ireland). Each song represented and explored one of 13 stepping-stones on a journey into the Otherworld. When it came time to write one for The Question (which is, after all, the point of the journey) the question I ended up asking was “If you ask who I am I will ask you the same and this isn’t only a Trickster’s game, for the keeper of Truth has the same to say: I am who you are today.”
