Some films have such a specific mood that I hold them in reserve for when I really need them. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is one of those movies I go back to all the time when I want to feel the fear of facing the completely new and the triumph of finding my way through it. So many different paths are represented, people grow and find deeper connection or they diverge. I want to believe in the film’s final words: “Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright then this is not yet the end.”
