“Weak Heart” with Kristian Børresen for FAWM 2025
After 15 years of collaborating with musicians during February Album Writing Month, I can always count on my friends to step up and help realize my vision for a new song. This time for Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) - another one for the #poisonerchallenge. Digitalis is still used to regulate arrhythmic heartbeats in people today with a long history of use in medicine. To represent this musically I wanted a dance track with a few dubstep beats to play regulated pulses against dysregulated ones, with the lyrics warning how close to the toxic line the dosage must be to be effective.
